The first of the Sacraments of Initiation. In it, we are being claimed for Christ and opened to the graces of the Holy Spirit. Parents seeking baptism for their children must be registered parishioners and choose a Godparent, who is a practicing Catholic, for their child.

Infant to 6
Parents or expectant parents need to attend one Baptism prep class. Please contact the Parish Office to schedule.

Children 7-17
Children who have reached the age of reason go through OCIC (Order of Christian Initiation for Children). Formation is tailored to the individual needs. Parents will visit with the pastor initially.

Adults
Adults seeking to become Catholic or become fully initiated in the Catholic Church go through the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults). The OCIA is a faith journey that includes the teachings of the Catholic Church while focusing on each individual’s formation in a life of discipleship and commitment to Jesus Christ. The process begins in the fall and culminates on Easter Vigil.

Please contact the parish office for additional information and scheduling at 816-436-0880
